Sexual Behaviour Substudy

Knowledge of sexual behaviour of HIV-infected persons who have failed on first-line ART in sub-Saharan Africa and who are initiating second-line treatment is needed to help inform appropriate and effective positive prevention programs.

This substudy of the EARNEST trial therefore aims to describe the baseline predictors and frequency of specific high risk sexual behaviour over 96 weeks among HIV-infected patients. 79 participants were enrolled into the substudy at the Infectious Diseases Institute and the Joint Clinical Research Centre in Kampala, Uganda.
